Taipei-bound? The mandatory arrival card now opens a week before you fly

Taiwan widened the TWAC filing window from three days to seven — handy for itineraries that hop through Asia before landing there.

Aussie itineraries that thread Bangkok or Tokyo before Taiwan just got easier to paper up: the Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC) — mandatory for air and sea arrivals since October 2025, visa or no visa — now accepts submissions up to seven days out instead of three. You can file it at home before the whole trip starts, not from a departure gate.

Expect the usual fields: passport details, purpose of visit, flight or vessel data and where you're staying, with an e-mail verification up front. A group on the same booking can file one combined submission, and any slip-ups stay fixable until the immigration document check — the confirmation's document number plus passport data reopens the form.
