Overview

The Consulate General of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Frankfurt am Main serves the Bosnian diaspora across four western German federal states — Hesse, Bremen, Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia. Consul General Nermin Mešinović heads the mission. Frankfurt's position as Germany's financial capital and the consulate's jurisdiction over North Rhine-Westphalia — Germany's most populous state and home to large Bosnian communities in cities like Cologne, Düsseldorf, Dortmund and Essen — make it one of the busiest Bosnian consular posts in Europe.
