Overview
The Consulate General of India in Brisbane covers Queensland from Coronation Drive in Milton, serving the state's large and growing Indian-origin population across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the regional centres. For residents of Queensland, the consulate is the route for Indian visas, OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) cards, passport and document services, and consular assistance. Most short visits to India run on the e-Visa; the consulate handles the categories the e-Visa does not cover and the OCI and passport casework for the Indian-origin community.
Visa Services
Queensland residents travelling to India apply online for the e-Visa for most short stays; the consulate processes the visa categories outside the e-Visa scheme, along with OCI cards, passport services and document attestation for Indian nationals and persons of Indian origin in Queensland. Office hours Monday–Friday 09:00–17:30.
