Overview
The Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Vienna is Kosovo's diplomatic mission in Austria, with the embassy at Goldeggasse 2/14 and the consular section at Wohllebengasse 4/3, both in the fourth district. Austria was among the early European countries to recognise Kosovo's independence in 2008, and the bilateral relationship is grounded in development cooperation, EU integration support, and strong people-to-people ties — the Kosovar-Albanian diaspora in Austria is one of the largest in Europe, concentrated in Vienna and major Austrian cities. The embassy provides consular services for Kosovar nationals and processes visa applications. Honorary consulates in Salzburg, Vienna (separate from the embassy), and Graz extend local coverage.
