Overview
The Embassy of the Principality of Monaco in Rome is housed in Villa Fasciotti in the Parioli district, acquired by Monaco in 1962. Ambassador H.E. Anne Eastwood heads the mission. Italy and Monaco share deep historical, cultural, and geographic ties — the Principality borders the Italian region of Liguria, and the Grimaldi dynasty itself has Italian roots. Monaco maintains an exceptionally dense consular network in Italy with representations in 14 cities across the peninsula, reflecting the importance of the Italian market for tourism, business, and the large Italian community in Monaco. The embassy handles diplomatic affairs, visa applications, consular services, and bilateral coordination.
Service Area
The embassy covers all of Italy. Consulates in Ancona, Bari, Bologna, Cagliari, Florence, Genoa, Livorno, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Trieste, Turin, Venice, and Ventimiglia provide comprehensive regional access.
