British High Commission Port of Spain

Embassy of UK in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago

Overview

The British High Commission in Port of Spain is the first point of contact for UK visa information in Trinidad and Tobago. Trinidadian and Tobagonian nationals require a UK visa for visits, study, work, or family routes — applications are submitted through VFS Global UK Visa Application Centres. The High Commission also provides consular services to British nationals including emergency travel documents and assistance with illness, injury, crime, or bereavement. Trinidad and Tobago is one of the Caribbean's most culturally rich destinations for British visitors — birthplace of steel pan and calypso, home to one of the world's greatest carnivals (Port of Spain Carnival), spectacular diving off Tobago's Buccoo Reef and Speyside, and extraordinary birdwatching in the Northern Range rainforest. Direct British Airways and Caribbean Airlines flights connect London to Port of Spain.
