The U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai is America's busiest consular post in China, serving the Yangtze River Delta — the country's most economically dynamic region. Visa Services
The consulate processes nonimmigrant visa applications for Chinese residents of Shanghai, Anhui, Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Categories include student (F/M), business/tourist (B1/B2), exchange visitor (J), and work visas (H, L, O). Shanghai is one of the highest-volume visa processing posts worldwide.
