Overview
The U.S. Embassy in Budapest is the United States diplomatic mission in Hungary. Consular Services
The American Citizen Services (ACS) unit provides passport renewals, Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, notarial services, and emergency assistance to U.S. citizens in Hungary. Special Notes
The embassy is a high-security facility on Szabadság tér in central Pest. Visitors are subject to screening and should allow extra time for entry. Large bags, electronics, and sharp objects may not be brought inside. Check the embassy website for current public holiday closures.
